ON/STANDBY button
VOLUME dial
PHONES jack: Connect headphones with a standard plug (ø1/4″/6.3 mm).
PURE AUDIO button/LED indicator: Switches Pure Audio mode, which provides purer sound,
on or off. The LED indicator lights when you switch it on, the display turns off and the “Bass”
and “Treble” settings are disabled.
• The Pure Audio mode is canceled when the multi-zone function is turned on.
DIMMER button (North American, Middle East, Australian and Asian models): Switches the
brightness of the display with three levels. It cannot be turned off completely.
RT/PTY button (European models): Used when receiving stations transmitting text information. SPEAKER A/B buttons: Select the terminals to output audio from between SPEAKERS A/B.
INPUT dial: Switches the input to be played.
BASS dial: Adjusts the bass.
TREBLE dial: Adjusts the treble.
BALANCE dial: Adjusts the balance of the sounds output from the left and right speakers.
MY INPUT buttons: You can register settings conditions such as the current input selection or
listening mode, and then recall them. ( →p65) USB port: Connect a USB storage device to play music files. You can also supply power (5 V/1 A)
to USB devices with a USB cable.
HYBRID STANDBY indicator: Lights up when any of the following functions is working or
enabled in standby state of this unit. When this indicator is lighting, the power consumption in
standby state increases, however, the increase in power consumption is minimized by entering
the HYBRID STANDBY mode where only the
essential circuits operate

Remote control sensor: Receives signals from the remote controller.
• The reception range of the remote controller is within a distance of approx. 16´/5 m, and
an angle of 20° in vertical direction and 30° to right and left.

MENU button: Used to display the menu.
MEMORY button (North American and European models): Used to register AM/FM/DAB
radio stations. Play
/Pause
button: Used for play operations when playing Music Server or USB.
TUNING MODE button (North American and European models) : Switches tuning to an AM/
FM station between automatic tuning and manual tuning, and allows you to select the order for
displaying DAB stations. ZONE 2 button: Controls the multi-zone function. ( →p61)
OFF button: Switches the multi-zone function off.
SETUP button: You can display advanced setting items on the TV and the display to have
a more enjoyable experience with this unit. ( →p74) Cursor buttons
and ENTER button: Select an item with the cursors, and
press ENTER to confirm your selection. Use them to tune to stations when using TUNER ( →p44) RETURN button: Returns the display to the previous state while setting.
