I'm not getting any sound out of my powered subwoofer when connected to the receiver, what should I do?

Here are the steps that you should take to check your powered subwoofer:

1-Make sure that the subwoofer is receiving power. If there is no sign of power, plug subwoofer into a different outlet. 
2- If the subwoofer is receiving power, unplug the RCA connection from the back of the receiver, that leads to the subwoofer, and touch the tip with your finger. This is to see if you are getting an audible hum from the subwoofer.

3-Check the receiver setup menu to ensure that the subwoofer setting is turned on.
4- Run through the Level Calibration through the menu, select Subwoofer to send a tone to see if sound can be produced.
