Currently there are no updates for the TXSR 686. The only update was from 2022 with a version of 1071-4000-1070-0011. If the receiver has this version, then the unit is up to date. What is the current issue with the receiver if I may ask?

The latest firmware is nowhere to be found, and many times forcing a clean installation (firmware update) resolves many issues - I'd like to do that please

If you are referring to the link that I had provided to the previous customer, https://onkyo.com/tx-nr686, correct. The link takes you to the product page, but if scroll down the page to Docs there is a Firmware Category which provides the instructions and the firmware to download.
