My high speed HDMI cable works fine with the sound bar, which is compatible with my ROKU tv.  However, disconnecting the cable from my sound bar to connect to the AV receiver, there is no response.  I cannot make the speakers work.  However, in tuner mode, the speakers work fine.  I believe the fault is in the receiver.

AV (TX-SR393) is connected to a new Samsung TV. When power is turned on for both, the sound comes out of the TV speakers for a second or so then stops. It takes about 20 seconds or so for AV surround sound to come through. How to start AV sound immediately after TV & AV are turned on?

    Hello Rysidron,

Is the receiver outputting audio for other sources? With either tv that is hooked up via the arc setup, if you press the display button what is the front panel of the receiver showing as far as the input coming signal?

    Thank you

    Jennifer

I have Onkyo Receiver TX-SR393 Please advise how to decrease the sound when receiver is turned on. I have recently changed tv provider and when I turn on system the sound is extremely loud. The remote is RC-970R. I would appreciate info on this situation.
    Thank you,

    Good afternoon Harry,

Within the setup of the receiver there is a setting that you can change the power on volume. Press Setup on the front panel or via the remote, go to 3. Audio Adjust, then Volume. Power on volume is where you can set it to a specific volume or the last volume used.

    Thank you

    Jennifer
