A-5VL-Adjusting Tone and Balance

1. Press the Direct button on the front of the unit to turn it off
   
   Direct Off: Audio adjusted via the unit's bass, treble and balance controls is output
   Direct On: Audio is output directly, without passing through the bass, treble and balance tone
   control circuits
2. Turn the BASS control to adjust the bass
   Turn the TREBLE control to adjust the treble
   Turn the BALANCE control to adjust the volume balance output from the left and right speakers
   

Please Note

• Turn the BASS and TREBLE controls to the right to increase the bass and treble, respectively
• Although you can adjust the left and right volume using the BALANCE control, turning it all the way to the right or left will only reduce the volume from that speaker; it will not set the volume to zero
• The controls should normally be kept in the center position
